Over the past 7 years the Yeshiva Ketana of Los Angeles has experienced extraordinary growth. As we enter our 8th year, the need for the Yeshiva to have a Sefer Torah of its own has become essential, with many of the boys reaching Bar Mitzvah age during the upcoming school year.
At the end of Sefer Devarim, the Torah tells us, V’Atah Kisvu Lachem at Hashira Hazos. The final and last Mitzvah of the Torah according to Chazal is to write a Sefer Torah for oneself. Many Poskim rule that one can accomplish this Mitzvha by contributing to the writing of a Sefer Torah.
With the generous support from the Gohari Family, the Yeshiva is excited to announce the launch of our first Sefer Torah Campaign. Contributing and participating in this campaign will give you a precious share in our Sefer Torah. Every week, the boys in their minyan will lein from this Sefer Torah.
This November we will I”yH host a gala Hachnasos Sefer Torah as we welcome the new Sefer Torah to the Yeshiva. Stay tuned for details about this historic event.
There are many “firsts” in life. For Yeshiva Ketana, this is a “first” that carries with it incredible importance. Being a major part of history doesn’t happen often. Don’t miss out.
